From expanding membership engagement to hosting impactful events and advocating for the local economy, the Chamber has worked tirelessly to support and elevate our members. Each initiative and accomplishment you will see in this report reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and community partners.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to fostering opportunities for collaboration, driving economic development, and ensuring that San Marcos continues to be a vibrant place to live, work, and do business. We thank you for your continued support and partnership in making this year a success.

It is my privilege to share with you the highlights of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 year in review. This report is more than a summary of activities—it’s a celebration of the people, businesses, and community partners who make our work possible.
Over the past year, we have hosted signature events, launched innovative programs, expanded our advocacy efforts, and strengthened our connections with businesses across the region. Each accomplishment reflects our mission to support local businesses, foster community growth, and create opportunities that benefit everyone in San Marcos.
We hope this Annual Report provides you with insight into our initiatives, inspires collaboration, and reinforces the Chamber’s commitment to being a resource and advocate for all members. Thank you for joining us in shaping a thriving business community.

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce strives to be a leading membership organization that brings together community stakeholders to create an environment where businesses thrive, leadership flourishes, students excel, housing is accessible, members are engaged, and quality of life is a priority.

Our monthly morning networking series brings Chamber members together in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Guests share elevator pitches, make new connections, and enjoy refreshments courtesy of our host business.

Held at rotating member locations, these evening mixers offer a lively atmosphere to build relationships, enjoy light appetizers and refreshments, and win great door prizes.

A space for professionals under 45 to connect, grow, and give back. Monthly YP events focus on networking, community engagement, and building meaningful relationships with peers across industries.

Designed to inspire women in business, the Corridor Women’s Network hosts events centered on networking, education, and connection. CWN gatherings foster professional growth and strengthen support among women in our region.

Hosted at on October 11 at Kissing Tree Golf Course, this annual tournament welcomed 130+ golfers for a full day of friendly competition, networking, and community engagement on the course.

On November 21, 2024, more than 400 attendees celebrated business excellence and honored the transition of Chamber leadership between Justin Payne of Frost Bank and Cassidy Berenato of Texas Aviation Partners.

Held on February 13, 2025, this event brought together 255+ business and public-sector leaders to discuss aviation advancements and I-35 Corridor developments. Phil Wilson, CEO of the Lower Colorado River Authority, and other top experts, provided valuable regional insight.

On March 21, over 30 teams joined us for a fun, competitive day of networking and friendly rivalry. The double-elimination tournament featured music, refreshments, and a lively atmosphere for members and the community.

Hosted on April 5, 2025, this free event at San Marcos High School welcomed families and students to explore 20+ business exhibits, hands-on activities, and live student performances celebrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

On April 24, 2025, over 215 attendees heard updates from San Marcos City Manager Stephanie Reyes and Superintendent Dr. Michael Cardona as they shared priorities and progress for the City of San Marcos and SMCISD.

Held on May 15, 2025, this relaxed outdoor event welcomed 250+ Chamber members to enjoy great food, networking, and giveaways at the Chamber’s own backyard celebration.

On August 28, 2025, more than 650 guests visited exhibitor booths and enjoyed spirited performances from TXST and SMCISD during our energetic “Halftime Show” at the San Marcos Conference Center.

On September 18, 2025, over 160 attendees heard insights from Texas State University President Dr. Kelly Damphousse and leading panelists on the economic, workforce, and education trends shaping our region.
The Chamber is strong because of its members. Our diverse network of 556 businesses and organizations fuels innovation, supports local growth, and strengthens the economic vitality of San Marcos. This year, we welcomed 122 new members, further expanding our vibrant community.
Membership provides access to valuable networking events, business resources, marketing opportunities, advocacy efforts, and meaningful ways to engage in community initiatives. Together, our members create a thriving environment where businesses and people can succeed.




Our Chamber Ambassadors play a vital role in member engagement and community connection. As official greeters at Chamber events, they welcome new businesses, support ribbon cuttings, and help members get plugged in. As the voice of business in San Marcos, the Chamber works year-round to ensure that local employers are represented at the local, state, and federal levels. Over the past year, we strengthened our advocacy efforts through regular engagement with elected officials, hosting public policy events, and gathering member feedback through the Government Relations Council. We continue to encourage members to stay informed, participate in discussions that shape our business climate, and promote civic engagement among their teams.
The Chamber is committed to strengthening the talent pipeline in San Marcos by building meaningful connections between education and industry. Through hands-on programs, partnerships, and workforce development initiatives, we help prepare students, educators, and future leaders for success in our community.

Our Youth Leadership Program provides San Marcos High School students with an inside look at local government, business, and community leadership. Through monthly sessions, students explore career pathways, meet local leaders, and gain real-world skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and civic engagement. The program continues to grow each year, inspiring the next generation of community leaders.

The Chamber, in partnership with Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area and San Marcos CISD, offer Summer Teacher Externships – immersive workplace experiences that connect educators directly with industry needs. Teachers gain valuable insight into workforce trends, essential skills, and emerging technologies, bringing this knowledge back into their classrooms to better prepare students for future careers. Hosted in partnership with San Marcos CISD, the Chamber’s annual S.T.E.A.M. Fair brings together students, families, and local businesses for a hands-on celebration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. With interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and student performances, the event sparks curiosity, showcases local career opportunities, and strengthens the connection between education and industry.

This year, we were proud to welcome Cassie Gray as our Education Programs Coordinator. Cassie played a key role in supporting the Youth Leadership Program, S.T.E.A.M. Fair, and education workforce initiatives. Her contributions—from program planning to student engagement—helped strengthen our efforts to connect students and educators with meaningful career pathways.
