Building the next generation of leaders!

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to facilitate Youth Leadership San Marcos, a program designed to help high school students grow as leaders while gaining a deeper understanding of their community.

About the Program

Youth Leadership is open to junior and senior students from San Marcos High School and San Marcos Academy. Throughout the school year, participants take part in interactive sessions featuring site visits, guest speakers, and hands-on activities that highlight the businesses, organizations, and leaders who make San Marcos thrive.

Students meet throughout the school year for topic-focused sessions hosted by local businesses, organizations, and civic leaders. Each session combines presentations, behind-the-scenes tours, and discussions that give students an inside look at leadership in action. The program concludes each spring with a graduation luncheon, where students reflect on their experiences and celebrate their growth as leaders.

Get Involved

Community members and Chamber partners play a vital role in the success of Youth Leadership. Businesses and organizations are invited to:

• Host a session at their location
• Serve as a guest speaker or panelist
• Support the program through volunteer involvement
