2025 spirit week: October 20-24

Show Your School Spirit and Support for SMCISD!

The San Marcos Area Chamber is excited to announce the 2nd annual Rally for the Rattlers community spirit campaign, dedicated to supporting our public schools in the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District (SMCISD).

In the week leading up to the San Marcos HS Homecoming Football Game (Oct. 24), this spirit campaign is held to encourage local businesses to show support and cheer on the Rattler Nation. Local businesses are encouraged to decorate their interiors and exteriors starting in mid-August. Paint the town purple!

There are 4 categories in the Rally for the Rattlers decorating contest: Best Exterior, Best Interior, Best Window Signage and First Timer’s Award. What can you win? Winners receive H-E-B gift cards, tickets to the Homecoming Game with on-field recognition, Rattler swag and awesome bragging rights!
